FAQs

Requests for British Theses

UK theses requests should now be requested via the British Library's new EThOs database, (http://ethos.bl.uk/Home.do) which enables free access to digitised and downloadable versions of British doctoral theses. You can search the EThOS database without having to register. You do, however, need to register and log in if you want to download a thesis from EThOS.

If the thesis you require has not been digitised please complete the online inter-library loan form. We will inform you as soon as the thesis has been digitised.

British Library Reader Pass

UCLan students can register for The British Library Reader Pass, for further details visit the BL Help for Researchers page.
