Journal Finder provides details of our print journals and e-journals collections. Library Search will find specific articles from journals so is a good place to start, as it searches across thousands of different journals and will uncover articles in places you may not think to look.

  • Drapers - Business intelligence on the fashion industry in the UK and Ireland - retail, wholesale and manufacturing
  • Global Apparel Markets - Business and market analysis of worldwide trends in the global apparel industry (select 'Download' to access the various issues of this publication - available on-campus only)
  • WGSN Fashion - News and information from the fashion and style industries. WGSN includes trend forecasts, analysis of retail sales, company profiles and reports on issues such as visual merchandising.
  • WGSN Lifestyle & Interiors - Leading global trend forecasting service and product development tool focused on the ever-evolving needs of the home and interiors industries (including furniture, lighting, print and pattern, bedding, bath and tabletop).

Marketing and advertising

  • Broadcast - Weekly magazine for the UK television and radio industry. Useful for BARB programme ratings.
  • BRAD - Advertising and publication information on different media (eg websites, magazines and newspapers) including costs.
  • Campaign - News and analysis from all areas of brand marketing.
  • HS Talks - Lectures on business and management topics, including marketing and consumer behaviour.
  • IBIS World - UK and global industry reports
  • Mintel - consumer market research reports covering a vast array of products and services.
  • Passport - global market information database and analysis tool containing comprehensive data and reports across all industries, countries and consumers.
  • World Advertising Research Center [WARC]- marketing and advertising intelligence. WARC is the home of publications like ADMAP and the International Journal of Market Research. It also contains thousands of case studies.

  • Alexander Street Video - Videos, films, documentaries and training materials in art and design related areas
  • BoB (Box of Broadcasts)
  • Europeana Fashion - over 700,000 images including photos, illustrations, posters and videos
  • Fashion & Textile Museum
  • Victoria and Albert Museum: Fashion collection
  • TinEye Labs Multicolor Search - A free tool which searches 20 million Creative Commons Flickr images by colour. You can select up to 5 colours and move the dividing bar between colours to increase/decrease their prominence within the image. A colour extractor allows you to upload an image and see the hex colour and proportions in the image.
  • Visual Arts Data Services [VADS] - A gateway to over 100,000 images, copyright-cleared for use in education. Includes the archives of London College of Fashion, Goldsmiths Textile Collection and Zandra Rhodes.
  • Vogue Archive (US) - American Vogue, from the first issue in 1892 to the current month, reproduced in high-resolution colour page images. Every page, advertisement, cover and fold-out has been included, with rich indexing enabling you to find images by garment type, designer and brand names.
