UCLan Library Click and Collect Service

We are pleased to announce that the UCLan Library Click and Collect service is now available.

Who can use this service?

The UCLan Library Click and Collect service is available to UCLan staff and students who study at Preston Main Campus or UCLan Burnley. When the library building re-opens, we would advise anyone who wishes to borrow books but does not need to use the library facilities to use the click and collect service.

What books can I order?

You can order books which are currently available on the library shelves. These will be picked off the shelves for you and you can collect them from UCLan Print on Adelphi Street without entering the library building. If the book you require is available online, we would advise you to access the eBook.

How does it work?

It’s easy to place your order. Follow the instructions below:
1. Go to Library Search and sign in
2. Find a book and click on the title
3. Scroll down to ‘Borrow it’ and select ‘Request’
4. Then click ‘send request’
5. You will receive an email notification with further instructions.

Where do I collect my books from?

You can collect your books from UCLan Print on Adelphi Street. The books will be issued to you when you come to collect them.

When can I collect my books?

You can collect your books on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9am - 12pm and Wednesday 1 - 3pm. This service may increase with demand.

How long will you hold my order for?

We will hold the books for you for 7 days. Please collect your books on the next available collection day (Tuesday - Thursday) after you receive your confirmation email.

Can I reserve books that are currently on loan?

All current loans are not due back until the 23 September 2020 so, for now, items which are out on loan are not available through the click and collect service. You will be able to place reservations for items which are on loan when term starts.
