The Read Aloud button within Microsoft Word is a new version of Speak and available in most recent Word 2016 releases (Office 365 on the university network)
Read Aloud in Microsoft Word
Click on Read Aloud (toggle on and off) to have text spoken from the cursor position onwards or select Ctrl + A to select the entire document. The words are highlighted.
The Read Aloud has a small control panel on the top right of the document window:
Read Aloud is also one of the extended spellcheck right-click options to speak the corrected spelling error.
