Personal Development Group - Writing through Therapeutic Process
A group setting, working independently – 6 x 1.5-hour sessions, held weekly and led by a Counsellor from the UCLan Counselling Team. Each week, a different therapeutic process, using a writing activity will be introduced by the Counsellor when participants will be invited to independently engage in the activity and reflect on the experience. The Counsellor will work with participants to facilitate a safe environment, feel supported and have the best experience within the group.
Writing can enable inner thoughts, feelings and experiences to be safely expressed outwardly. May help with anxiety, low mood, building confidence, developing self-awareness and gaining a greater understanding of self.
