My role as Football Development Officer is to create a University footballing experience that students can engage with and enjoy throughout their University studies. Increasing the amount of male & female students playing the game is a key priority of my role whilst developing a University football workforce that promotes & recruits students on to our various volunteering/leadership programmes to provide them with real life sports industry experiences

Here at UCLan we aim to provide opportunities for everyone. In my role I look to help promote and deliver an activities programme that makes use of all of our fantastic facilities and to increase participation as a whole, with the objective of enhancing and developing the student programme at the Sports Arena.
We look to increase participation, designing opportunities for student volunteers outside of playing sport and create links with local clubs and integrate UCLan into the community. We monitor participation and use feedback to make sure we are providing the best student experience possible. It helps us measure the impact that sport and activities are having on higher education engagement
