Equipment and Facilities

At UCLan all teaching laboratories, workshops and other specialist equipment and facilities are centrally managed by the LIS Learning and Technical Resources team therefore making them available to users right across the campus.

As these resources are often based within a specific school, the following pages detail the resources that are available together with methods of contacting appropriate personnel, opening hours, locations and type of equipment available.

Our 120-strong Technical team play a critical role in ensuring the University’s extensive teaching and learning facilities, resources and equipment are all maintained and fit for purpose. Whether in Science Laboratories, Design Workshops, Clinical, Skills Laboratories, Media Studios, or more general learning spaces, the advice, guidance, support and induction training that the Technicians provide to both staff and students is essential to the University’s teaching and learning activities.

A number of facilities can be booked using the Student Web Room Booking page.
