The University of Central Lancashire basketball programme is open to players of all levels. Compete in the BUCS Leagues, train with the team or play recreationally.

Craig is an experienced Level 3 Basketball Coach. He's worked with our basketball team for over 13 years. Under Craig’s leadership, both the Men’s and Ladies Basketball teams have progressed enormously. From competing at the bottom of the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Premier up to almost the highest tier, 1A.

Our basketball club has over 50 members with opportunities to play at all levels of ability. From recreational and second team to high level performers within the men’s first team. We've put together an extensive training schedule and support package. This helps support and attract committed basketball players.

Where and when you'll train

All basketball training and matches take place at the Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre (STFC). Our multi-million pound, state-of-the-art, purpose built indoor facility is located at our Preston Campus. STFSC offers a range of activities from UCLan Students' Union sports clubs to instructor led classes and individual gym areas.

Saturday 1.00 - 3.00pm
  • National League fixture (away)
Sunday 1.00 - 3.00pm
  • National League fixture (home)

On Sundays where there are no fixtures, individual practice and conditioning will take place. Dates and times are subject to change.

Additional training support will be provided with dates and times identified by the coach.
