Sheena Cottam is a Lecturer within the School of Nursing. Sheena supports the teaching and learning on both pre – registration and post registration nursing courses, focusing on clinical skills.

Full Profile

Sheena qualified as a Registered Nurse (Adult Branch) in 2000 and has had experience working on Acute Surgical Assessments units, surgical wards (Colorectal and Vascular) at Preston and Blackpool hospitals.

Prior to taking up her current position as Nurse Educator at UCLan, Sheena has had nearly 10 years of experience as an Infection Prevention and Control Nurse since 2008, working mainly within the acute setting at Blackpool Teaching Hospital, and has also worked for the Local Authority/community setting supporting the Clinical Commissioning Groups and the Care Homes/GP’s Lancashire wide.
