Educational and Professional Background MSc Sports Biomechanics (Manchester Metropolitan University) PGCE Post Secondary Education (Huddersfield University) BSc Sport and Exercise Science (Manchester Metropolitan University) I began lecturing in Higher Education in 1998 in Sport Science. In 2000 I moved to lecturing at a Further Education college, becoming programme leader for BTEC Sports Coaching courses and delivering HND Sports Therapy. During this period I have been involved in coaching a number of sports including volleyball, lacrosse, American Football and badminton. I am currently a TASS mentor to a number of athletes, and am working towards accreditation as a Strength and Conditioning coach with UKSCA and NSCA.

Current Research Projects

Current research interests include strength training with children, the role of weightlifting in injury rehabilitation and use of biofeedback in technique analysis of weightlifting.
