Sam Pollitt is a senior lecturer in the Emergency and unscheduled care division whose role involves teaching pre-registration and post registration nurses and paramedic students.
In addition, Sam has responsibility for co-ordinating the schedule of clinical skills. Sam's particular interest are in the area of nutritional care and clinical skills teaching.
Prior to coming into higher education, Sam qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1991 and worked in a variety of clinical settings, specialising in Acute Medicine, Rehabilitation and Elderly care.
Sam's research interests are in nutrition and Sam completed a MSc by Research in nutrition in 2003. In addition, Sam was employed as a Research Fellow at UCLAN, before undertaking her Post graduate Certificate in Teaching, Learning and Higher Education and becoming a lecturer in the Department of Nursing.
