Paul Callaghan, Lecturer in Crime Scene Investigation, has previous CSI practitioner experience with both the Wiltshire and Lancashire police forces together with International training provisions to Forensic institutions.

Full Profile

Paul joined the School of Forensic and Applied Sciences in 2014 after 16 years as a Crime Scene Investigator, Crime Scene Manager, CSI Supervisor and Forensic Trainer. Paul was responsible for Lancashire’s busiest CSI department with a team of CSIs undertaking both volume and serious crime examinations. Paul specialised in Disaster Victim Identification and Major Crime Investigations.

Prior to joining UCLan, Paul worked in several countries oversees offering CSI training to Police forces such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ethiopia.

Paul is the module leader for Crime Scene Science on the first year degree programme together with Forensic Photography, within the School of Forensic and Applied Sciences.

In 2017 Paul graduated from UCLan with a Masters degree in Photography.
