Pam started work at UCLan in December 2009 as a member of the Practice Learning Team. She now works half time with Practice Learning and half time as part of the teaching staff team. Her particular interests are practice education, preparation for practice learning and substance misuse.

Full Profile

Pam qualified as a social worker/ probation officer in 1988, following several years teaching English as a foreign language. She worked for four years as a probation officer before moving into the field of substance misuse as a social worker with a community drugs team. She was seconded to a youth offending team for a year during this period. She developed an interest in practice teaching and in 2004 became practice learning coordinator for a local authority, until her appointment at UCLan.
