Matt Thurston has been at UCLan since Jan 2017.  Prior to this, Matt managed a number of university preparation programmes in China and Singapore for British and Australian universities.  In his current role as Director of Studies at the Language Academy, Matt is responsible for managing the delivery for the Language Academy’s range of courses and services.

Full Profile

Matt has taught for a number of years in both China and Singapore, joining UCLan in 2017.  A specialist in both language and academic preparation courses, Matt is particularly interested in language assessment and also the challenges faced by Chinese learners.  In his current role, Matt is looking to expand the Language Academy’s range of courses and to ensure that the delivery continues to match the current high standard.
