Mark is a Leadership Consultant, a UCLan Lecturer and a College of Policing Associate who was a Team Leader on the 2015 National CSE Review Programme. He has led critical friend review and inspection activity in over twenty organisations, covering such diverse areas as Leadership, Counter Terrorism, Serious Acquisitive Crime, Violent Crime, Collaboration and Vulnerability.
Mark is an experienced College of Policing Leadership Tutor, an Accredited Peer, a PRINCE 2 and MSP Project and Programme Management Practitioner, a HYDRA Facilitator, MBTI Practitioner and a UK representative on an EU-China Police Management Forum.
He represented the City of Manchester before two Parliamentary Select Committee Hearings and was a staff officer at Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary.
Mark served on seven diverse Greater Manchester Police Boroughs during his extensive career. His roles included Chief Inspector for Manchester City Centre, Intelligence Unit Manager at Bolton and Criminal Justice, Custody and Burglary Lead for North Manchester.
Mark performed the role of Superintendent for nearly four years, including that of Force Performance Superintendent and Neighbourhoods, Criminal Justice, Custody and Detainee Investigation Units Lead at Oldham.
In 2014, Mark returned from a Security and Justice deployment on behalf of Her Majesty’s Government Foreign and Commonwealth Office Stabilisation Unit supporting the development of Police Leaders in Libya. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and in 2016 he worked with the MOI supporting the development of Police Leaders in Qatar. Mark takes a keen interest in property renovation.

Mark delivered the project to stream local authority CCTV images into Greater Manchester Police Command and Control Centres, including the training, licensing and vetting of local authority CCTV operators across the City of Manchester.
