B.A (Hons) Geography, University of Oxford, 1980

Liam spent more than 20 years with the BBC as a reporter, producer and Editor.
A former News Editor at BBC Radio Merseyside, he worked in London as the BBC’s Local Government Correspondent before returning to the North West of England as a political reporter and producer. He spent two years on-screen as the Merseyside Reporter for BBC North West Tonight, launched The Politics Show (NW) and is a former Managing Editor of BBC Radio Merseyside.
As well as teaching at UCLan, he has recently worked as a freelance broadcaster for BBC Radio Four, Radio City Talk (Liverpool) and Bay TV Liverpool. Liam is also Founder/Director of an independent media production & training company Intense Media
