Leah left UCLan in 2012 after achieving a first class BSc Hons degree in Midwifery. Leah worked in a local hospital Trust as a rotational midwife before moving to the South Coast of England to undertake the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing Post Graduate Diploma (school nurse branch), with a keen interest in public health and vulnerable families. Leah then worked as a Safeguarding Children Midwife in an acute Trust before joining the University of Central Lancashire.
Leah is a member of NMC Midwifery and NMC SCPHN (SN)
Leah has worked as a Lecturer at UCLan since June 2016 and joined the midwifery team in September 2016.
Leah is working towards completing her MSc Top Up through the University of Southampton. She is also working towards her PG Cert Health and Social Care Education at UCLan.
Leah is a University Health Course Champion.
