Laura works within the Lancashire Law School where she is the lead for the Criminology team and domestic partnerships.  Her main areas of academic interest are immigration law, property law and equity and trusts. 

Laura graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1987 with an LLB and went on to qualify as a solicitor in 1994.  She came from legal practice to UCLan to develop the property law module on the Legal Practice Course.  She has had various leadership roles during her time in Lancashire Law School and is now a principal lecturer involved in the management of the school.
