Laura Kane is a Nurse Educator (Adult). Laura supports the teaching and learning pre and post – registration nursing courses, alongside Trainee Nurse Associates, focusing on clinical skills.
Laura is a member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Laura qualified as a Registered Nurse (Adult Branch) in 2008 whilst serving within the Royal Navy.
During her military career she specialised in burns and plastics at Brighton University whilst providing rehabilitation to Armed services personnel with Neuro and complex trauma injuries at DMRC Headley Court and CTCRM Lympstone.
On leaving the Armed Forces Laura worked as a forensic nurse practitioner for Cheshire Police and the British Transport Police in London and completed forensic training at Teesside University.
On completion of her BSc Hons at Glyndwr University in Wrexham, Laura was working as a Specialist Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) for Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
As a Nurse Educator Laura has involvement in a number of pre-registration nursing modules and facilitates learning for both undergraduate and postgraduate modules up to masters level.
