Laura has worked as a hospital pharmacist for the past 7 years and at UCLan as a teacher practitioner since 2014.

Laura’s role at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust involves undertaking clinical pharmacist duties on a wide variety of medical and surgical wards. She is the departmental lead for the undertaking and maintenance of vital audit work including prescribing standards and antimicrobial adherence. In her education role within pharmacy she is the pre-registration tutor lead, a diploma tutor, provides support for newly qualified pharmacists, and supervises university student placements as well as pharmacy summer students. In addition, Laura is involved with postgraduate medical education and non-medical prescribers.

In her role at UCLan, Laura is part of the teaching team for the pharmacy degree primarily at third and fourth year level. She also teaches on the postgraduate diploma and is part of the course team.
