Developing a body of work combining a private client and artistic practice with investigations into the value, impact and relevance of somatic practices within Higher Education. Immersed in the ongoing enquiries into unfolding presence; the integrative balance of body as earth and explorations into how movement evolves in gravitational and spatial relationships; the biological story as impulse for developing imagination. How may all of this support you to dance, to move, to share and source the work wishing to be expressed?
I have been involved in teaching somatic practices over a number of years on several University Courses. I am engaged with the somatic community, having in the past worked as an Administrative and Teaching assistant with IBMT uk and nurturing a community based practice by working with sectors in the NHS, BRB, SureStart and other independent artists. Working with Colleagues across Europe and having ongoing collaborations with artists developing language, insight and a deeper knowing of the moving body.
I keep my practice relevant and alive through continued studies in the field and collaborations with artists, health practitioner and educator. Listening to the body, honouring, then moving to embrace biography, remembering ancient evolutionary knowing and finding expression….dance, dance wherever, whenever you dare!
Unfolding: a seasonal journey through place and space, the inner and outer, the patterns and rhythms of your moving imagined and integrated body.
