Kerry has been working within the research support team since January 2018. This work supports a wide range of health-related projects, mostly relating to stroke-care research, and involves conducting reviews and research using qualitative and quantitative methods.

Full Profile

Kerry qualified as a clinical Orthoptist in 2012 from the University of Liverpool, with a BSc (Hons) degree in Orthoptics. Kerry has since worked as an Orthoptist at various hospitals sites in the UK, most recently as Advanced Orthoptist at Aintree Hospital in Liverpool.

In January 2015, she started a PhD at the University of Liverpool’s Health Services Research department, funded by the NIHR NW Coast CLAHRC. The PhD research explores the health inequalities associated with post-stroke visual impairment, and she currently in her final year of study.

Kerry is currently research and clinically active, and sits on the steering committee for the Orthoptic professional body (BIOS) stroke and neuro rehabilitation special interest group (SIG).
