Jill is the Course Leader for the Advanced Certificate – (Specialist Ongoing Care Approaches). Her teaching responsibilities are predominantly in the post-graduate critical care port-folio. Research interests include end of life and bereavement within the acute and critical care environment.
Jill qualified as a registered nurse in 2001 and subsequently worked mainly in critical care areas. She became a deputy ward manager (sister) in intensive care in 2005 & completed the specialist practitioner in Adult Intensive Care BSc at this time.
She then specialised further and gained a position as a specialist nurse in bereavement & donation in 2008, obtaining a PGCert in Death, Bereavement & Human Tissue Studies.
Jill began her teaching career as a clinical skills tutor in Undergraduate medicine in 2010 & achieved her PGCE & became a lecturer at UCLan in 2013, where she attained her MSc in Nursing.
