Jeni completed her degree in mental health nursing at UCLan and on completion she predominately worked within older adult’s mental health. Jeni teaches across the pre-registration and post-registration nursing courses offered at UCLan. Her specialist areas of interest are the mental and physical health needs of older people. Jeni has a particular interest in the care and treatment of people with Dementia and is passionate about improving older people’s access to dementia research.
Jeni joined the University of Central Lancashire in 2015 after working in older peoples mental health services across Central Lancashire. Prior to her appointment at the university, Jeni began her career in the older adult’s community mental health team. She went on to gain further experience in Memory Assessment Services and more recently was employed as a clinical research nurse, caring for research participants who were recruited into investigational medication trials for the treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease.
