Subject Areas: Business and Management

A former Human Resource Management practitioner with extensive experience within organisations at a senior level. Has been teaching in Higher Education for approximately 15 years. A performance coach working with individuals to assist them in reaching their potential. Particularly interested in working with HR practitioners and students to develop their knowledge and skills within this occupational area.

Teaching (and research) interests focus mainly on Human Resource Development and Employability.

A former HRM practitioner with extensive experience both in the public and private sectors. Responsible for HRM within organisations at a strategic level. Particular interests are in all aspects of Employee Development.

Performance coach with experience of working one to one with employees in order to assist them to reach their full potential. Qualified Careers Advisor making use of a non-directive approach in order to support students in applying for both work placements and employment.

Fifteen years’ experience of teaching within Higher Education on undergraduate, postgraduate and professional qualifications. Uses the personal experience of the HR profession in order to help students relate theory to actual working practice.

In addition, Janet was part of the team that won the prestigious Golden Roses Award for excellence in teaching practice in 2013.
