Jacqui's main interests lie in the politics of healthcare, service redesign, and clinical leadership. The area she is researching at present is the effects of fasting on health.
Jacqui qualified as a teacher in 1981 and then lived and worked abroad for eight years. She came back to the UK in 1988 and trained to be a nurse. She has worked in haematology, elderly care and general medicine but most of her career has been spent in emergency medicine. She continues to practice part-time in a walk-in centre.
Course leader for the DipHE Clinical Nursing, and Advanced Certificate Service Development through Governance and Leadership.
Jacqui teaches Advanced Nursing Practice, Clinical Leadership and Clinical Supervision.
She teaches on many courses including the MSc Advanced Practice, the BSc Nurse Practitioner, the BSc Nursing and the Paramedic Diploma programme.
