Dr Stasik is a Lecturer in Biosciences with expertise in cancer cell biology. She is involved in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and is an active researcher. One of her roles is coordinating final year research projects for Biomedical Sciences, Healthcare Science and Physiology-Pharmacology.
Dr Stasik is a Lecturer in Biosciences with expertise in cancer cell biology. She has obtained her B.Sc. and M.Sc. from University of Wroclaw in Poland. She then completed her PhD at Polish Academy of Sciences, and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at cancer research centres in Paris and Belfast. She took a position of Lecturer in Molecular Biology at Liverpool Hope University in 2014, and moved to UCLan two years later.
Izabela is involved in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level in areas such as cell and molecular biology, cancer biology and treatment, and research methods. She coordinates the undergraduate research projects for Biomedical Sciences, Healthcare Science and Physiology-Pharmacology courses. She is also research active and involved in several collaborative projects.
Izabela is research active, and her interests include: brain cancer, molecular targets for novel therapies, drug resistance, apoptosis, DNA damage repair. She is a part of Brain Tumour North West research alliance.
