Gill is currently a practicing paramedic within the North West Ambulance service and is also an academic at the University of Central Lancashire.  Her main responsibilities are within the School of Health Sciences developing students on both the Diploma in Paramedic Practice and the BSC (Hons) in Paramedic Science.

Full Profile

Gill has extensive experience within the NHS stretching over thirty years, she has an initial qualification and registration as an RGN (Registered General Nurse), followed by the qualification and registration as a midwife (RM). Gill studied abroad, which then led to a BA in Health and Health Promotion, and then returned to the UK to complete a Diploma in Paramedic Practice and BSC (Hons) in Paramedic Science.  Gill's service to date with North West Ambulance service extends over a ten year period. Her utilisation of skills, experience and qualifications brought the delivery of education to the forefront, entering the University initially as a secondment, which quickly lead to a permanent position as an academic within the paramedic team.

Gill's current development involves completion of a MSC in Healthcare Practice.
