George has extensive operational policing experience, having been the lead on investigations into serious and organised crime, in addition to being an experienced major incident and public disorder commander.

Combining his operational experience with academic studies into broad subject areas such as business principles and marketing, George is now studying for a Professional Doctorate in Criminal Justice.

A former senior police officer having served for 20 years with the Lancashire Constabulary and 10 years with Greater Manchester Police. His experience includes Superintendent, GMP Diversity Unit, dealing with equality issues and the force hate crime policy and initiatives. Home Office Review Panel member, reviewing stop/search powers & other related legislation.
As a Detective Chief Inspector responsible for serious and volume crime prevention and detection and the lead for a number of forcewide operations involving drug cultivation and human trafficking. George also has extensive experience as a commander for serious public disorder, football matches and major incidents.
With an interest in improving how law enforcement agencies engage with communities, George has studied business principles and marketing management and is keen to explore how public bodies can deal more effectively with individual victims and communities.

Currently studying for a Professional Doctorate in Criminal Justice, specialising in Human Trafficking.
