Gemma qualified as a Registered Nurse (Adult Branch) in 2011 and has had experience working on Cardio-Thoracic Surgery and Cancer Research Nursing at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals.

Prior to taking up her current position as Nurse Educator at UCLan, Gemma has had nearly 7 years of experience as an Haematology Research Nurse since 2012 working for Blackpool Teaching Hospitals and the North West Coastal Research Network.

Gemma commenced on the MSc Clinical Research programme at UCLan in 2016, looking specifically at the holistic needs assessment with regards to cancer survivorship in Haematological malignancies.
