Zakaria is research active within the area of business and management and is a member of the Institute of Global Finance and Development.
Dr. Zakaria is a lecturer in Accounting and Finance at Lancashire Business School. He has PhD in Accounting and has published many academic papers in the fields of financial reporting, Islamic banking, CSR, and behavioural finance. Dr. Zakaria has a wide range of teaching experiences for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in financial accounting, management accounting, Islamic finance and financial management.
Dr Zakaria currently working on several research projects in the areas of corporate governance, earning management, Islamic finance and corporate disclosures. He currently supervises a doctoral students in the areas of earning management, social and environmental disclosure, forward looking information etc.
