Sophie is a junior doctor who has taken time out of clinical training to work as a medical demonstrator at the School of Medicine. She completed her medical degree at the University of Manchester in 2012 before undertaking her foundation training in the North West followed by two years of Core Medical Training.

Full Profile

Sophie completed her medical degree at the University of Manchester and has also completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Leadership and Management through the NHS Leadership Academy and Open University. She has completed her professional membership exams and is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians.
She has been involved in small teaching projects throughout her time as a junior doctor and has previously tutored communication skills and examined OSCEs at the University of Manchester.
In addition to medical education interests, Sophie has a clinical interest in palliative medicine and is currently on the junior committee of the Association for Palliative Medicine.
In her role as a medical demonstrator, Sophie will primarily be involved in the teaching of MBBS and Physician Associate students through anatomy, clinical skills, communication and small group facilitation.
