Dr Johanne Petrecz is a qualified medical doctor with a 1st class intercalated degree in psychology.  Her clinical background enables her to deliver theoretical content using a clinically relevant approach in her subject areas.

Full Profile

Dr Johanne Petrecz qualified from Manchester medical school in 2013 with a 1st class intercalated degree in psychology.  She completed her medical foundation training at the Royal Bolton Hospital before joining UCLan in 2017 as a Medical Demonstrator.  A year later, she accepted her current job roles as Lecturer in Medical Sciences - Anatomy (0.6 FTE) and Evidence-Based Medicine (0.4 FTE) within in the School of Medicine.

Teaching Activities and Responsibilities

Lecturer in Medical Sciences

Delivering lectures and workshops to pre-clinical medical students, with occasional teaching involvement on other medical-based courses. 

Lecturer in Evidence Based Medicine

Delivering lectures and workshops to Y2 medical students completing their Y2 student selected components – a 3,000 word report focussing on and applying the bio-psycho-social model to a chronic condition of their choice.  The role also requires occasional input on other medical-based courses.
