Full Profile

I worked for Lancashire Constabulary for 28 years in the Scientific Support Department. I was the Head of Crime Scene Investigation immediately prior to joining the teaching staff at UCLan. At various stages of my career I was a Fingerprint Examiner, Mobile Phone Technician and Crime Scene Investigator at every level. I was also the first civilian CSI in Lancashire Constabulary.

My operational experience is second to none and I have worked on a number of very high profile cases in my time both as a CSI and latterly as a Crime Scene Manager.

I was part of the UK Disaster Victim Identification team (UKDVI) on call for any mass fatality incidents anywhere in the world. I am fully trained in Bomb Scene Management and the recovery of forensic evidence from a CBRN (Chemical. Biological, Radiological or Nuclear) Incident.

Teaching Activities and Responsibilities

I am the Module Tor for FZ2037 Advanced CSI and FZ3036 Support for Crime Scene Managers
