Dr Ayman Jundi

Dr Jundi qualified from Damascus University School of Medicine in 1980. Then, at the height of the Lebanese Civil War, he moved to Beirut, Lebanon, to undertake surgical training at the American University of Beirut (AUB), which, at the time, was the largest Trauma Centre in the Middle East, dealing with enormous numbers of war injuries. He moved to the UK in 1985, and continued with his surgical training, until he chose a career in Emergency Medicine. Having completed his training, he was appointed as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in January 2000, where he still works. His specialist interests include Major Incident and Disaster Management, Resuscitation Training, and Medical Education.
