Amanda joined the University of Central Lancashire in March 2013. She is a lecturer and teaches a variety of modules; her research interests involve art and cultural tourism.
Amanda teaches within the tourism, hospitality and event division. Amanda also acts an academic advisor and is a module leader for the Strategic Management, Enterprise and International Field Studies modules. Amanda has an extensive commercial background and has acted as a client manager and an event organiser - planning, organising and hosting numerous art events both nationally and internationally.
Doctoral Student – Amanda’s research is focused upon Southeast Asia and urban regeneration and poverty alleviation through art and cultural tourism.

Amanda has been a visiting lecturer at Xiamen University, China.
Amanda teaches across a range of tourism, hospitality and event management undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and combines her extensive commercial background with her academic knowledge.
