This free event including complimentary lunch, designed to share information on recent and forthcoming Higher Education developments.
The programme has been designed to provide updates on recent changes taking place in the Higher Education sector and how this affects young people applying to University now and in the future. This all day event will include a range of bespoke workshop sessions providing information about important topics such as fees, funding and finance; courses available at UCLan; and upcoming changes affecting University admissions processes.
If you are keen to find out more about the University’s existing and forthcoming Degree Apprenticeships then we have specialists on hand to answer any questions you might have and explore some of the benefits of considering an alternative way of studying in Higher Education.
For teachers and parents/carers interested in seeing how Schools & College advisors play a key role in the application process, there will be an opportunity to hear about how you can help your students in the portfolio advice workshop.
We highly value our relationships with schools, and we would like to understand what else we can provide for you throughout the year to support you during this time of change and challenge.
During the day we we will have a carousel of subject based workshops available with providing attendees with an opportunity to hear more about individual courses available for potential Undergraduate students.
You may not be aware of the University of Central Lancashire’s offerings, specialisms, and entry requirements as we would like. So we hope that this event will be an ideal opportunity for you to find out more about the University’s Degree Apprenticeships, and some of our key subject areas including Business and Management, Art, Design & Fashion, Sport, Psychology, Health, Social Work, Physical Sciences and Computing and Humanities and Social Sciences.
We hope you will be able to join us for this new conference at the University of Central Lancashire. We are hoping this will be the first of many events for practitioners and parents and would appreciate your input into shaping our future activities.

UCLan Confucius Institute is able to help you to introduce Chinese language and culture classes into your school. We can provide teacher conferences to improve the teaching style of current and prospective teachers, and to keep you up to date with the Chinese syllabus. We can arrange a Chinese language and culture workshop to introduce teachers to the subject before classes are introduced to your school. Your language teachers may also like to attend our evening course 'Introduction to Chinese Language & Culture for MFL Teachers'. We can also offer Chinese culture classes and general advice on how to encourage students' interest in Chinese language and culture, including Chinese activity days.
