We recommend early booking, especially if you are interested in the workshops, which have limited capacities.

Fashion Show Choreography Rehearsal: See a dry run of our stunning catwalk show, as previewed at Graduate Fashion Week in London, with professional models, industry stylists, music and choreography.

Workshops: Experience interactive workshops on a range of topics with our team of creative arts lecturers. A personalised programme will be developed for your group dependant on your students’ creative interests and workshop availability.

This event is open to students aged 14+. Large groups will be split into smaller groups of no more than 20.

For more information please contact Kathryn at or call 01772 896179.

Through participating in workshops on UCLan Preston Main campus, students will get first-hand experience of the facilities and ethos of the University. They will be introduced to the courses and opportunities UCLan offers and be provided with a more personal link to the institution through the more intimate nature of a small group workshop.

The workshop will be made up of 2 parts, the coordination of which depends upon the size of the group of students.

  1. Students will receive a health and safety induction for each part.
  2. Students will be facilitated by college/university staff in the studio to take digital images using the lighting, backdrops and a model/subject. This can be used to go along with a module they are currently doing (for example a portrait module)
  3. There will be a break with a lunch provided by UCLan
  4. Students will use their own image, pre-printed on acetate, to create contact prints in the darkroom.
  5. Instagram will be used as an exhibition space for the work made
  6. Feedback and comments can be left by the students on post it notes on their work or on Instagram

They will receive a resolved workshop over several days which gives them a physical reminder and an experience in two important areas of photography. They will gain a familiarity with the campus and staff and be able to envision how their own practice could be forwarded through the university’s course and facilities.
