Making use of extensive laboratory facilities, our courses are delivered by both international renowned researchers and practitioners. In the successful 2015 visit by the British Psychological Society (BPS) we were commended for our excellent facilities, outstanding support from teaching staff, and the embedded nature of the teaching of skills. Our British Psychological Society accredited postgraduate programmes will provide you with stage 1 training to become a Chartered Psychologist.

Flexible Delivery

Our courses offer great flexibility, as teaching for most is only on Tuesdays for some programmes, or include evening classes for other - supporting those students who work full-time or have families. We offer both full-time (12 months) and part-time (24 months) places.

We maintain a strong international research reputation, as you will be taught by acclaimed professors that produce first-class research. Much of our psychological research continues to be rated ‘internationally excellent’ and ‘world-leading’ as per the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF) in 2014, whilst 100 per cent was rated as having ‘real-world’ impact.


Postgraduate BPS accredited Psychology programmes include specialisms in: Applied Clinical Psychology and Forensic Psychology.

The MSc Psychology of Child Development is ideal for graduates in Psychology or related subjects and professionals working with children as continued professional development.

With our BPS accredited MSc Psychology Conversion you can convert your non-Psychology degree – the beginning of your career in Psychology.

Successful postgraduate students may apply to continue their research to doctorate level (PhD) or alternatively, we do welcome applications from prospective PhD students who do not wish to study a taught master’s degree beforehand.
