This is a collaborative project between the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) and Cheshire Youth Offending Team (YOT). The project explores quantitatively and qualitatively the offending behaviour of girls and young women entering the youth justice system. The qualitative component will also explore some of the barriers and motivators to desistance from offending in girls and young women.
