UCLan has unveiled a 10 year £200m Campus Masterplan – our vision is to create an attractive and inviting, world-class campus compatible with UCLan’s status as one of the UK’s largest universities.
In recent years, UCLan has invested over £100 million on new buildings and facilities, including the £12.5 million JB Firth Building, designed to house the University’s forensic science, chemistry, fire study and research facilities. Other landmark facilities include UCLan’s £5.3 million Allen Building, which includes some of Europe’s most advanced facilities for students studying within the School of Medicine and Dentistry. When the School of Dentistry opened its doors in September 2007, it was one of only two new dental schools to be created in England for over 100 years.
The University also recently invested over £15 million in the iconic Media Factory building, which incorporates state-of-the-art facilities for digital media and performing arts students.
Our students and researchers enjoy excellent IT facilities, including a pioneering virtual learning environment and an ultra-modern library and resources centre.
We also plan and organise a wide range of conferences and events each year. See our Conference pages for further information.
