Making Presence Felt

A 3-day symposium celebrating the 30th Anniversary of ISMETA, and work coming from UK and Ireland ISMETA approved programmes.

Call for papers/workshops/provocations

We invite proposals for 20-minute presentations, 10-minute provocations and 75-minute workshops from alumni of all five UK and Ireland-based ISMETA approved courses.

1) UCLan’s MA Dance and Somatic Wellbeing: Connections to the Living Body

2) Tamalpa UK

3) Institute for Integrative Bodywork and Movement Therapy (IBMT)

4) Embody-Move, the Body-Mind Centering® Somatic Movement Education (SME) certification program in the UK

5) Origins, a somatic training course in Wicklow, Ireland

The aim of the symposium is to profile practice and research inquiries being carried out by practitioners graduated from ISMETA approved trainings. Areas of inquiry may be in health, wellbeing, education, criminal justice system/other community contexts, or provide sharing opportunities for the impact of training upon personal life trajectories.

Please submit an abstract of max 250 words, outlining your proposed contribution to the symposium, and a brief biography max 50 words to Laura Broome, UCLanDance Outreach Programme Manager, LBroome1@uclan.ac.uk
