One of the county’s most prominent fashion events has taken place at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).

Fashion fans, UCLan Honorary Fellows and local mayors joined staff and students to watch UCLan’s award-winning Graduate Fashion Collection take to the catwalk.

The stunning fashion show, which took place in St Peter’s Art’s Centre in the city centre campus, showcased the eye-catching creations of final year fashion design students.

Earlier in the month the colourful show received rave reviews when it took place in London as part of Graduate Fashion Week. The accolades came from local, national and international media as well as specialist high end fashion magazines including Italian Vogue, New York Magazine and Grazia.

UCLan has a history of achievement at the annual national event and is one of the most successful UK universities in Graduate Fashion Week’s 23 year history.

This year, fashion promotion student Anna Grundy won the Fashion Marketing Award and was named the runner-up in the Fashion Media Award. In addition, fashion design student Alice Houghton wont he George Children’s Wear Award while Emma Robertson was the runner-up in this category.
