The School of Health, Social Work and Sport has a rapidly expanding programme of Youth Work and Community Practice provision which includes both a BA in Youth Work and Community Practice and a newly approved Degree Apprenticeship.

We are seeking an Outreach Educator who will support learners in the workplace on our Degree Apprenticeship Programme.

the post holder will have a relevant good honours degree and be JNC qualified or working towards this qualification, have experience of working in youth work and/or community practice and will have experience of teaching in higher education or further education, or of supporting work-based learning. You will be enthusiastic and creative, possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills and have good knowledge of the challenges facing the youth work and community sector.

Based predominantly at our Burnley campus, as a member of the School of Health, Social Work and Sport, the post may also be required to contribute to other programmes and to work across other campus’s or settings where the School is active.
