The University of Central Lancashire wishes to recruit an IT/AV technician to join our Learning and Technical Resources team based on our Westlakes campus. The role will provide support for a range of IT/AV, multimedia and associated technology enabled approaches to teaching and learning. The successful candidate will be required to install and maintain a diverse range of IT, audio-visual and specialist resources and facilities across the estate and support other technical teams in the delivery of core teaching activities. The role holder will be required to support staff and students in the implementation and use of a range of learning technologies, including web conferencing activities and event support.

The role also requires the undertaking of safety checks, equipment inventory checks and updates, as well as providing advice, demonstrations or inductions as required. The successful candidate will be naturally inquisitive and will possess a range of relevant skills and experience, which they will be enthusiastic to apply in a variety of different situations. They will also possess the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative to set priorities and to work co-operatively within a diverse team.

The successful candidate will have A Levels, equivalent secondary qualification, or relevant industry experience and must also have a good quality of verbal and written communication skills.

Westlakes is a developing campus with new and exciting courses being developed so the ability to adapt knowledge and experience to support staff and students across the range of subject disciplines we support on campus is essential.
