We are looking to appoint a Senior Project Officer to contribute to the maximisation and diversification of university external funding sources through supporting the development, quality and reputation of key externally funded innovation, engagement, and research projects.
The post holder will take a pro-active role in providing a professional, customer focussed, external bid funding support service, particularly through provision of user-friendly expert advice, guidance, and support in relation to EU grants and contracts, Research Council and Charity Funders, Commercial funders, and tenders to the academic community.
Recent experience in a busy office environment costing proposals using full economic costs, supporting bidding to external funders for research and engagement, co-ordinating multi partner projects and project management including post contract management of projects is essential.
Detailed and current understanding of funding administration including the bidding process, contractual terms and conditions, model contract and partnership agreements are key to this role.
For the position, excellent IT skills with spreadsheet & database experience are required alongside experience of providing timely, accurate and relevant management information. The successful candidate will be educated to first degree level or equivalent.
An awareness of confidentiality and data protection issues is required alongside the ability to work consistently under pressure, prioritise work and meet deadlines.
