We are committed to growing Computer Science at the University and this in an exciting opportunity to lead growth in teaching, research and knowledge transfer. Within the area of Computer Science UCLan offers PhD and MRes research degrees, MSc courses in IT Security, Computing, and UX, and Undergraduate courses in Networks, CyberSecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering and Games Development.

In addition, successful applicants will be expected to supervise student projects, lead in the activities of the Centre for Digital Life and work with one or more of the research groups. As an institute committed to providing opportunities from under-represented groups, we welcome applications from BAME groups and from individuals interested in flexible or shared working.
The successful candidate will have leadership experience in Computer Science and a proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in a relevant area. A good Honours degree or equivalent and a PhD in a related subject area, experience of teaching Computer Science in a higher education environment, and excellent presentation and communication skills are also essential criteria for the post.
