We are seeking an exceptional individual as its Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic Delivery) who will play a key role in ensuring UCLan’s continued success. Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor and working closely with the members of the Vice-Chancellor’s Group, the postholder will be responsible for translating University strategy into delivery through our ten schools. The Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic Delivery) line manages the School Deans and will work closely with professional services and academic colleagues at all levels. This is an integral post for the University, and the role will require a collaborative approach operating across the University’s campuses in Burnley (East Lancashire), Westlakes (West Cumbria) and Cyprus.
The appointed candidate will bring an excellent track record of academic and strategic leadership. Evidence of significant management experience either at school, college or faculty level will be highly advantageous. Delivery of high-quality teaching and research activity, the improvement of the student experience, demonstrable growth and partnership working, and an affinity with our values will be important attributes.
