Established in 1828, the University of Central Lancashire is a leading modern University located in the city of Preston. The School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences offers several undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare related degrees including the Master of Pharmacy and an expanding suite of postgraduate provision, including an MSc in Advanced Pharmacy Practice and a certificate Independent Prescribing. The School offers a friendly and supportive learning environment with state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities.

We are seeking to appoint a Principal Lecturer in Pharmacy Education Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice to lead on the design and delivery of the MPharm assessment strategy and its alignment to the curriculum, including quality review and standard setting. They will provide academic leadership, enhance the achievement of excellent quality and performance standards, contribute to the development and implementation of policies and practices to ensure the effective deployment of resources. The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team and contribute to research and knowledge transfer through scholarly activities.

The successful applicant will have experience of teaching in higher education and have a strong track record of academic leadership in Pharmacy or a related subject area. Experience of different teaching and assessment methods within healthcare education is essential, along with holding a Doctorate / Higher Degree or equivalent professional qualifications or experience. A motivated and enthusiastic individual, the successful candidate will be an active networker, with excellent organisational and project planning skills.

Excellent communication skills, involvement in programme and curriculum development and enhancement and the ability to work in a team are essential for this position.
