The School of Medicine wishes to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join the clinical years MBBS team at Westlakes campus.

The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure successful delivery of the undergraduate MBBS Phase 2 clinical years, focussing in particular on Year 5 but contributing to the support of all School of Medicine programmes at Westlakes site. Experience in a administrative/clerical practice in a medical setting is therefore essential as is significant experience of working in a customer facing role.

A critical element of this role is liaison with UCLan’s partner clinical institutions. The role involves monitoring attendance, collating student feedback and providing support with portfolios and assessments. The post holder will plan the delivery of campus-based teaching and liaise with external organisations to organise delivery.

The post holder will work at the UCLan Westlakes campus, but some of the duties may relate to delivery of the MBBS programme at the Burnley campus. Occasional travel to other UCLan campuses and partner institutions may be required.

The post holder will have a range of GCSE’s including English Language and Maths at Grade C or above, or appropriate equivalent experiential learning. They will also have a Word Processing/typing/IT qualification or demonstrable equivalent experiential.

You will have excellent communication skills as you will deal with academic and clinical staff, and will often be the first port of call for student queries. You will have good IT skills and will be able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
